Area Manager
Responsible to: Operations Manager
Competitive Salary + Overtime

Hours of work: Full time; min. 40 hours per week – permanent position
Times of Work: Flexible in accordance with needs of the job
Start date: Immediate
Area: Manchester and Surrounding Areas
Purpose:
- Oversee, manage and operate a portfolio of the company’s contracts across London and the South East
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients through regular meetings and inspections
- Manage cleaning personnel
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to all e-mails and calls from clients
Arrange regular meetings with clients
Review cleaning standards through regular inspections
Arrange one-off cleans and deep cleans with clients and check if they were satisfied afterwards
Proactively visit sites during the cleaning shift spot checking for cleaning standards, staff attendance, uniform, etc.
Ensure cleaning personnel are completing their duties and that Health and Safety is being followed on site
Liaise with Managers and Supervisors on a daily basis and build strong relationships with colleagues, supervisors and cleaning team members
Be involved in the selection, and training of new cleaning team members
Monitor equipment, uniform and stock levels
Candidate
- Previous cleaning management experience is required
- Effective written and oral communication
- Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
- Able to effectively manage cleaning and supervisory staff
- IT literate
- Ability to prioritise
- High levels of attention to detail
- A strong work ethic
- Full UK driving licence
